Dr. Michael Yeh has published more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles, focused on the following areas:
1) clinical epidemiology and patient outcomes in primary hyperparathyroidism, 2) optimal management of patients with known and suspected thyroid cancer, and 3) quality and cost in endocrine surgery. His publications have been cited 8000 times (2023 h-index 45) and have shaped the current state of the art in endocrine surgery. Dr. Yeh serves on multiple editorial boards for scholarly journals.

Michael Yeh Leadership
Aside from his role as Chief of Endocrine Surgery, Dr. Michael Yeh has held several leadership positions locally and nationally. At UCLA, he served as Medical Director of Optimal Care from 2011-2020, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs from 2015-2017, and Surgical Director of Operative Services from 2020-2023. Since 2012, he has served as physician lead for the UCLA Health discharge pharmacy “Meds to Beds” program, spearheaded the adoption of electronic surgical consents, and championed the adoption of telemedicine (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33384159/).
